Hillsdale College Media Facilities
Hillsdale College has state-of-the-art studio facilities available for use by media both on-campus in Hillsdale, MI, as well as at the Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship in Washington, D.C.
Hillsdale College TV Studio
Hillsdale College has a full HD production facility with a multi-camera studio and fly package available at the Hillsdale, MI, campus.
The campus buildings and studio are connected to the main control room via fiber using the Panasonic AG-HPX 500 cameras and GrassVally’s Telecast Copperhead fiber optic camera transceivers.
The Broadcast Pix Granit 5000 switcher and NewTek 4800 SLO-MO are the control room production equipment.
Out-bound connectivity is available via the LTN Global IP Transmission service providing point-to-point/multipoint live video delivery to major media outlets. Video streaming is preformed using Viewcast’s Niagara 7550 streaming appliance.
Audio, IFB, camera intercom, lighting, and green screen are incorporated into the studio.
Hillsdale College Radio Studio
Also available on the main campus in Hillsdale, MI, is an audio-recording studio. The College audio studio uses a Telos ISDN codec to connect to radio studios for interviews and sound production.
Boyle Radio Studio
The Boyle Radio Studio at Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship is a high-quality, remote broadcast studio for visiting radio hosts and personalities. The studio is equipped with industry standard Comrex technology, which allows visiting hosts to connect reliably back to their “home” studios.
The Boyle Radio Studio also serves as a high-end audio production facility to produce and edit audio at Kirby for later use.Learn more about the Boyle Studio
