Actor James Krag Performs at Hillsdale College

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Chicago-based actor James Krag presented his original one-man play, “According to Mark,” on Jan. 21 in Markel Auditorium. Hillsdale College students, faculty, staff, and community members attended the free performance.

“James Krag is a talented and successful actor, and his performance of ‘According to Mark,’ was not only captivating and dynamic, but also moving,” said James Brandon, department chair and professor of theatre at Hillsdale College. “We are grateful that he came and performed for the Hillsdale Community.”

“According to Mark” is a dramatic performance of the King James version of Mark’s gospel that provides a compelling look at the life of Christ. Krag is an award-winning stage and screen actor. He has performed at the Goodman, Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare, and Court theatres. He has also done work in television and film, appearing in “Missing Persons,” “While You Were Sleeping,” and “Prison Break.”

This performance was the fifth installment of Hillsdale College’s Professional Artist Series for the 2022-2023 academic year.
