Heather Mac Donald To Give Lecture on Diversity in Academia at Hillsdale College’s Kirby Center
Manhattan Institute scholar discusses new book on diversity in academia
On Thursday, September 13, Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship will host a lecture from the Manhattan Institute’s Heather Mac Donald on her new book, The Diversity Delusion: How Race and Gender Pandering Corrupt the University and Undermine Our Culture. Drawing from her work on a variety of social issues, Mac Donald will discuss the ideas in her book, which explores how higher education institutions are reshaping social norms in detrimental ways.
Heather Mac Donald is the Thomas W. Smith fellow at The Manhattan Institute and is also a contributing editor at City Journal. A New York Times bestselling author, her most recent book is The Diversity Delusion: How Race and Gender Pandering Corrupt the University and Undermine Our Culture. Her writing has been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The New Republic and The New Criterion, and she is a recipient of the 2005 Bradley Prize.
