HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College Athletics broke ground on the Lenda and Glenda Hill Stadium and Delp Field on Friday, Oct. 21. This project is part of the college’s outdoor athletic facility improvement plan.

The current baseball field will undergo significant renovations, including the addition of a synthetic turf field, allowing for more frequent practices and playing time as well as the opportunity to use the field in cold weather. Other improvements include a new covered grandstand, dugouts, a new press box, concessions and restrooms in the stadium, and stadium lighting to allow for evening and nighttime games. “We are very excited for our student-athletes that will get to practice and compete in these new and improved facilities, thanks to the generous donations of Lenda and Glenda Hill, Ronald Hagaman, and the Delp Family,” said Jeff Lantis, director of external relations for athletics.

Those who attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony enjoyed a luncheon in the Roche Sports Complex and heard remarks from Hillsdale College Athletic Director Don Brubacher and Hillsdale College President Dr. Larry P. Arnn.
