Hillsdale College Chapel Choir Releases Choral Evensong Semester Schedule
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Chapel Choir has announced the date of its fall semester Choral Evensong performances. The choir will be led by Professor Timothy McDonnell. All performances will be held in Hillsdale College’s Christ Chapel and are open to Hillsdale College faculty, staff, students, and the local community.
“The Chapel Choir is excited about embarking on its core role of bringing beautiful sacred music to the Chapel for this academic year,” said McDonnell.
Choral Evensong is a centuries-old traditional Anglican service that features scripture, choral anthems, and prayers. The musical portions of Evensong are the Introit, Preces and Responses, Psalmody, two Canticles, a Choral Anthem, Hymns, and the Organ Voluntary.
