Hillsdale College for Life Club Travels to D.C. for March for Life Rally
HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College students and members of the Hillsdale College for Life club attended this year’s March for Life rally in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 19. The student group has marched in the rally annually since 2011. Approximately 130 students made the overnight bus trip to Washington, D.C. to participate in the march, which has occurred annually since 1974.
The theme for the 2024 march was “With Every Woman, For Every Child.” “The fight for life can often feel isolating or disheartening, so being able to march with hundreds of thousands of our fellow pro-lifers never fails to inspire students to continue being a voice for the voiceless. Abortion is the greatest evil of our generation, and I’m proud that so many Hillsdale students are willing to stand against this evil in our nation’s capital,” said Katie Reid, president of Hillsdale College for Life.
Hillsdale College for Life, Protect Life Michigan, and the Student Federation all contributed to the student trip. Right to Life of Hillsdale County, a local pro-life group, covered the remaining cost, student fees excluded. Participating students paid a small fee which covered a roundtrip on a charter bus, breakfast, and a one-night stay in a D.C. hotel.
