Hillsdale College Hosts Lecture By Washington Free Beacon Editor-in-Chief Matthew Continetti
On Tuesday, October 24, Hillsdale College will host a public lecture from this fall’s Eugene C. Pulliam Distinguished Visiting Fellow Matthew Continetti, editor-in-chief of The Washington Free Beacon. Continetti’s talk, titled, “Influence of Identity Politics on American Life and Culture,” will draw on Continetti’s many years as a journalist. The lecture is a key part of Continetti’s tenure on campus as a Pulliam Fellow, for which he also served as a guest instructor in the journalism department and consultant to the Hillsdale student newspaper, The Collegian.

Matthew Continetti graduated from Columbia University in 2003 and worked as a writer and editor at The Weekly Standard before being named editor-in-chief at The Washington Free Beacon in 2011. Continetti’s work has appeared in various media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post. He is also the author of The K Street Gang: The Rise and Fall of the Republican Machine and The Persecution of Sarah Palin: How the Media Tried to Bring Down a Rising Star.
