Hillsdale College Hosts Pianist & Composer Robin Spielberg

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Fine Arts Center hosted acclaimed pianist, composer, and recording artist Robin Spielberg in Markel Auditorium on Jan. 28. She performed samples from her most recent album “Give My Regards to Broadway.”  

“Spielberg’s performance was captivating,” said James Brandon, chairman and professor of theatre at Hillsdale College. “She is a talented artist who brings new life to classic musical pieces known and loved by many.” At the concert, Spielberg performed inspired versions of classic pieces from musical theatre selections, including “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and “Tomorrow” from “Annie.” 

Robin Spielberg is known for her entertaining live performances, expressive techniques, and melodic composition style. She is described as the “heart and soul of interpretive solo piano.” Spielberg has 20 recordings and appeared in over forty compilations worldwide. Her visit to Hillsdale marks the beginning of her 2023-2024 tour.
