Hillsdale College Named Among Nation’s Best 387 Colleges by The Princeton Review

Professor quality, accessibility and school newspaper noted

Hillsdale, Mich. — The Princeton Review published its list of the best 387 colleges of 2022 on Aug. 31 and named Hillsdale College among its elite, national rankings. The College is also ranked among the top 158 Midwestern colleges and was recognized for professor accessibility and quality as well as best student newspaper.

“We are grateful for the recognition of our efforts to provide an excellent liberal arts education,” said Christopher VanOrman, provost.

The College’s admissions selectivity rating is 94/99 among the top 387 nationwide. Average high-school GPA for first-time freshman attending the College in Fall 2020 is listed as 3.93.

The Princeton Review omitted specific rankings this year due to complications from the COVID-19 pandemic. According to its press release, it was impossible to survey students about their on-campus experiences when most were attending remotely.
