HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College Shotgun Team members are set to compete at the Junior World Championship and the Junior World Cup as members of the USA Shooting’s Junior Skeet Teams.

“Our teams have been working especially hard this year,” said Caitlin Connor Royer, assistant program development and competition manager and coach at the Hillsdale College John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center. “The number of students who qualified is a testament to that hard work.”

The shooters qualified during the USA Shooting Junior Skeet Selections from March 10-12 in Kerrville, Texas. Among junior men shooters, freshman Jordan Sapp earned a silver medal and sophomore Josh Corbin took home a bronze medal. Sophomore Kyle Fleck was awarded fourth place and named to the Junior National Team. For junior women shooters, incoming freshman Madeline Corbin earned a bronze medal. At the Junior Trap Selections held from March 17-19, Josh Corbin was a top six finalist and freshman Sophia Bultema received a gold medal in para trap.

Because of their performance, Josh Corbin, Madeline Corbin, and Sapp will compete at the Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany from June 1-9 and the Junior World Championships in Changwon, South Korea from July 14-28. “I am proud of my performance at the Junior World Selections,” said Sapp. “It’s an honor to be selected to compete on USA Shooting’s Junior Skeet team with my teammates, and I’m excited to compete on the international stage representing my country.”
