HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Shotgun Team won 5th place overall at the Association of College Unions International and Scholastic Clay Target Program National Championship in San Antonio, Texas. The Hillsdale Shotgun Team competed in Division II against 19 other programs and earned multiple individual and team awards.

“There was a lot of tough competition this year at nationals,” said Hillsdale College Shotgun Team Head Coach Jordan Hintz. “We came out of the gate strong and fell only a little short after other teams put up impressive scores. Division II is arguably the most competitive division in the shotgun sports, and I am proud of our athletes.”

The team earned 3rd in trap doubles, 2nd in skeet doubles, and 3rd in American skeet. Individual performance was strong, with shotgun team members scoring high in multiple divisions. Josh Corbin (‘25) earned 1st in team all-American and 3rd in men’s skeet doubles. Sophia Bultema (‘26) earned 2nd in Class C skeet doubles. Kyle Fleck (‘25) earned high combined skeet. Woodrow Glazer (‘23) earned 2nd in men’s American trap and super sporting. Jonathan Calabrese (‘25), Jackson Sokel (‘24), and Glazer each won an all-American honorable mention.

The team’s performance follows several impressive national and international appearances by the team, most recently at the USA Shooting Junior Skeet and Trap Selections held March 10-12 and March 17-19. At the selections, Josh Corbin, incoming freshman Madeline Corbin, and Sapp were chosen to represent the United States at the Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany from June 1-9 and the Junior World Championships in Changwon, South Korea from July 14-28. Fleck earned a spot on the USA Shooting Junior National Team.
