Seniors Colton Duncan and Eleanor Hansen named king and queen

HILLSDALE, Mich. —The Hillsdale College Student Activities Board hosted its annual President’s Ball in the Searle Center on Feb. 11. Seniors Colton Duncan and Eleanor Hansen were named President’s Ball King and Queen.

The theme was inspired by the annual Met Gala put on by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Student artwork provided by Alpha Rho Tau, Hillsdale College’s official art honorary, was on display in the Hoynak Banquet Hall. Students also enjoyed dancing, food, music, and a photo booth.

“Colton Duncan and Eleanor Hansen are wonderful candidates and we were excited to recognize their personal achievements and outstanding character,” said Madelyn Clark, director of student activities. “We are grateful for all the students and faculty members who participated in their selection this year.”

The Jerry Ross Band provided music for the duration of the event. Students wore formal attire, including floor-length dresses for women and suits and ties for men. A faculty interview panel selected the king and queen from a court of 10 student nominees. President Larry P. Arnn announced the winners. Dr. Arnn and his wife, Penny, danced with the king and queen.
