HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College shotgun team member Jordan Sapp will compete at the ISSF World Championship for Shotgun in Osijek, Croatia, as a member of USA Shooting’s Junior Men’s Skeet team. Sapp is the first member of Hillsdale’s shotgun team to earn such an honor.

“Jordan is only a freshman, but he works hard, has a great attitude, and is an excellent shot,” said Jordan Hintz, head coach of the Hillsdale College shotgun team. “He has quite the future in the shooting sports ahead of him. We’re glad to have him on our team.”

The World Championships for Shotgun will be held in Osijek, Croatia, from Sept. 19 to Oct. 12, with junior Skeet events taking place between Oct. 2 and 5. All those under the age of 21 are eligible to compete as juniors. “I’m thankful to all those who have helped me get this far — my parents, coaches, friends, and teammates,” said Sapp. “I’m going to do my best to make them and my country proud.”

Athletes competing in this championship have the opportunity to earn an Olympic quota for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games to be held in Paris.
