Hillsdale College to Honor Will Dunham at 64th Annual Alumni Awards Banquet

October 23, 2015 – Hillsdale, Mich.

Hillsdale College will honor Will Dunham (’07) as the outstanding young alumnus of the year at its 64th annual Alumni Awards Banquet at the Searle Center on Hillsdale’s campus. Dunham is the executive director of the Republican Study Committee, the largest conservative caucus in the House of Representatives.

“Dr. Larry Arnn’s statesmanship class really whetted my appetite for politics,” said Dunham. “I get to spend every day fighting for the basic principles of our country, and I owe a great deal of that to my education at Hillsdale. I’m honored and humbled to receive this award.”

Prior to being named the executive director of the Republican Study Committee, Dunham worked as a senior policy advisor of the organization. In 2015, Forbes magazine recognized Dunham on its “30 under 30” list in the area of public policy.

“Will embodies what Hillsdale College is all about,” said Grigor Hasted, director of Alumni Development. “His impressive work in public policy is already making an impact on our country, and we are truly honored to call him one of our own.”

Dunham graduated from Hillsdale College in 2007 with a degree in English. At Hillsdale, he served as president of the Men’s Council, belonged to the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society, and worked as a student ambassador. After graduation, Dunham worked as a staff writer for the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. and as a budget associate for Congressman Tom McClintock (R-CA).

Dunham resides in Alexandria, Va. with his wife, Anna, a 2010 graduate of the Hillsdale College, and their daughter, Mollie.

Lloyd Bond (’64), Susan Cervini, and Daniel Wisner (’55) will also be honored at the Alumni Awards Banquet.
