Hillsdale College Welcomes New Faculty

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College welcomes eight new faculty members to campus for the 2023-2024 school year.

“We are excited to welcome these new members of the faculty to Hillsdale College,” said Chris VanOrman, provost of Hillsdale College. “Hillsdale is a rigorous place. They will find fulfillment in working alongside Hillsdale’s distinguished faculty and very eager student body. We are glad to have them.”

The college welcomes:

Patricia Craig, assistant professor of classics
Jonathan Gregg, assistant professor of education
Brandon Hugo, technical services librarian
Mark Kremer, associate professor of politics
Christina Lambert, assistant professor of English
Daniel O’Toole, assistant professor of politics
Ronald Rivas, associate professor of management and marketing
Abel Winn, associate professor of economics

Dr. Patricia Craig earned her Ph.D. and M.A. from Catholic University of America (2022 and 2016). She received her B.A. from the University of Dallas (2012).

Dr. Jonathan Gregg earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University (2023), his M.A. from the University of Chicago (2015), and his B.A. from Hillsdale College (2011).

Mr. Brandon Hugo received his M.L.I.S from the University of Pittsburg (2014) and his B.A. from Hillsdale College (2011).

Dr. Mark Kremer earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago (1996). He received his M.A. and B.A. from the University of Toronto (1986 and 1985).

Dr. Christina Lambert received her Ph.D. and her M.A. from Baylor University (2023 and 2019). She earned her B.A. from Hillsdale College (2016).

Dr. Daniel O’Toole earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin (2023) and his B.A. from Claremont McKenna College (2009).

Dr. Ronald Rivas earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles (1998); his M.A. from ESAN University, Lima, Peru (1988); and his B.S. from the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria, Lima, Peru (1984).

Dr. Abel Winn received his Ph.D. and M.A. from George Mason University (2005 and 2004). He earned his B.A. from Hillsdale College (2001).
