Hillsdale College’s K-12 Education Office Announces its 2023-2024 Master Teachers

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The K-12 Education Office at Hillsdale College has announced its 2023-2024 Master Teachers. This is the fourth cohort of Master Teachers, who are honored for their excellence in the art of teaching. The program is part of Hillsdale’s efforts in K-12 American classical education, which include the Barney Charter School Initiative and the Hoogland Center for Teaching Excellence.

“Good teachers inspire a love of learning in their students, a love which enhances the classical curriculum,” said Kathleen O’Toole, assistant provost for K-12 education. “These nine teachers excel in their fields and have a passion for fostering that love of learning in students.”

The following teachers will serve Hillsdale member schools by offering insight into the curriculum, mentoring new teachers, and providing sample resources that align with classical pedagogy.
