USA Shooting Earns Nine Medals at ISSF World Cup

HILLSDALE, Mich. — USA Shooting trap and skeet athletes earned nine total medals at the International Shooting Sports Federation World Cup in Rabat, Morocco, from Jan. 11 to 24. USA had a strong showing in trap and skeet events, earning five gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals:

• Women’s Trap: Rachel Tozier, bronze
• Trap Mixed Team: Rachel Tozier and Derrick Mein, gold
• Women’s Trap Team: Aeriel Skinner, Julia Stallings, and Rachel Tozier, gold
• Men’s Trap Team: Derek Haldeman, Will Hinton, and Derrick Mein, bronze
• Women’s Skeet: Kimberly Rhode, gold
• Skeet Mixed Team: Katie Jacob and Conner Prince, gold
• Skeet Mixed Team: Dania Vizzi and Christian Elliot, silver
• Men’s Skeet Team: Christian Elliot, Conner Prince, and Dustan Taylor, gold
• Women’s Skeet Team: Kimberly Rhode, Katie Jacob, and Dania Vizzi, silver

Hillsdale College became the home of the USA National Team in 2019. The college hosts the Junior Nationals in rifle, both Junior and Senior Nationals in International Skeet and Trap, International Paralympic Grand Prix events, Olympic training camps, Junior World training
camps, and Junior Olympic Development Camps. “We couldn’t be prouder of USA Shooting’s athletes for their outstanding performance at the ISSF Rabat Shotgun World Cup,” said Rich Péwé, representative of Hillsdale College. “Hillsdale College is honored to partner with USA Shooting and to see our students make us proud on the world stage.”

Several members of the Hillsdale College shotgun team, both students and coaches, have competed on the international level, including sophomore Joshua Corbin, who competed in the qualification rounds for Men’s Skeet for ranking points only in Rabat. “Our athletes have
performed very well over the last year,” said Sharee Waldron, national team manager for USA Shooting. “Their performance in Rabat shows the team’s ability to compete excellently and consistently at the highest levels.”
