Fall Fun

Hillsdale’s campus is a great place to be in the fall. The high-arching oaks and maples explode in a kaleidoscope of red and orange and yellow. This warmth in color is accentuated by the fresh chill of the fall breeze, which blows up the hill and turns students to thoughts of cider and doughnuts. WRFH 101.7 Spreading the College’s Mission on the Air

On July 10, WRFH 101.7 FM—Hillsdale College’s new radio station—crackled to life, and with it, the dreams of many students to have their voices echo across Hillsdale’s airwaves. Though an automation system currently selects songs from a “Patriotic Music” catalog to fill those airwaves, the mic will soon be in the hands of students.

The Heritage Room

Tucked away in the corner of the library there is a special room. The Heritage Room, colloquially referred to as the “Eagle Room” because of the abundance eagle statues dotting the walls, shelves, and tables, was constructed in 1994 during the extension of Mossey Library.

The Heritage Room in Hillsdale College’s Mossey Library aims to preserve first edition texts that have shaped the western heritage. From Niccolò Machiavelli to Thomas Paine, many of these books are rare and ancient.
