Hillsdale College’s Al Stewart is Awarded Wayne Bailey Lifetime Achievement Award

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College’s Al Stewart, director of the Nimrod Education Center, was awarded the 2024 Wayne Bailey Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Wild Turkey Federation. This award serves as recognition of a wildlife expert who has dedicated themselves to the restoration and management of wild turkey during their career. Stewart was acknowledged for his leadership and mentoring skills throughout his career and his continued efforts to pass hunting and fishing traditions on to future generations.

Nimrod Education Center Launches Newsletter to Promote Hunting and Angling Heritage in America

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Nimrod Education Center is proud to announce the launch of its new newsletter dedicated to promoting the heritage of hunting and angling in America. The only college program of its kind in the United States, the Nimrod Education Center aims to educate citizens about the benefits of hunting and fishing as well as the important role of those practices throughout American history.

Hillsdale College Nimrod Education Center Director Receives National Wild Turkey Federation Award

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The National Wild Turkey Federation presented Hillsdale College Nimrod Education Center Director Al Stewart with a Special Recognition Award at the 50-year anniversary celebration in Grand Blanc, Michigan on Jan. 14. “I am honored to be recognized by the National Wild Turkey Federation,” said Stewart. “I am proud to work with so many outstanding individuals and organizations, such as the National Wild Turkey Federation, that are committed to hunting and angling through their spirit of sportsmanship and their respect for our natural resources.”
