Hillsdale College Professor Mark Moyar Speaks at Nixon Foundation

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Mark Moyar, the William P. Harris Chair in Military History at Hillsdale College, spoke at the Richard Nixon Foundation on Jan. 26. The event was held in honor of the 50-year anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Accords in 1973 that officially ended the Vietnam War.

Hillsdale College Remembers Trustee Emeritus Frank Shakespeare

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College is saddened by the passing of a long-time friend and supporter of the college Amb. Frank Shakespeare. Shakespeare, who served on the Hillsdale College Board of Trustees for 37 years, died on December 14, 2022, at 97 years old.

Hillsdale College Online Course Students Have Completed More Than 240,000 Courses

HILLSDALE, Mich. — During the last three years, Hillsdale College online course students have completed 242,393 online courses and submitted 5,973,818 quizzes. The free online courses mirror Hillsdale’s curriculum, covering core subject areas like economics, history, literature, philosophy, politics, and religion.

Hillsdale College Announces Second Cohort for Kehoe Family Initiative for Entrepreneurial Excellence

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College announces the new cohort of Kehoe Family Initiative for Entrepreneurial Excellence Student Fellows. The fellowship is a five-semester program for Hillsdale College students who aim to join the free market as entrepreneurs after they graduate. Sophomores of all majors were invited to apply during the fall 2022 semester.

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College is saddened by the passing of alumnus and long-time friend and supporter of the college, J. Eric Plym. Plym, who served on the college’s Board of Trustees for more than 30 years, died on January 1, 2023, at 81 years old.
