Hillsdale College Shotgun Team Earns Top Prize at Conference Championship

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Shotgun Team traveled to Marengo, Ohio to compete in the ACUI/SCTP Upper Midwest Conference Championship and International Championship from Oct. 5-9. The team competed against more than 110 athletes from eight colleges and was awarded “Team High Overall,” the most prestigious prize of the event.

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Chamber Choir performed during the fall Choral Evensong in the Christ Chapel on Oct. 2, featuring the world premiere of a new musical setting by Andrew Maxfield. Hillsdale College faculty, staff, students, and members of the local community attended.

Halter Shooting Sports Center Hosts Memorial Sporting Clays Classic

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College hosted its seventh annual Tom Klix Memorial Sporting Clays Classic on Sept. 24 at the John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center. The annual sporting clays classic was named for a 1975 Hillsdale College graduate and longtime supporter of the College’s shotgun team. The event raised approximately $13,000 for the endowment of shooting sports scholarships.

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center has launched an archery education program for local home-schooled students. The six-week program will walk students through basic skills and safety before moving into stance, form, and marksmanship.
