Hillsdale Academy began its new school year on Aug 28, welcoming 30 new students and 168 returning students for a total enrollment of 198.

Wayne Nelson has been elected to the Board of Trustees of Hillsdale College, a private classical liberal arts college in south central Michigan. Nelson is a philanthropist and co-founder of the Wayne and Marilyn Nelson Foundation.

Hillsdale College offers assistance and support for Hillsdale High School seniors and graduates planning to attend the College through The Bernard L. Davis Scholarship Fund. Hillsdale College announced the passing of long-time friend and supporter of the college, Robert Richardson. Richardson, who served on the college’s Board of Trustees for 25 years, died on July 17, 2017, at 90 years old.
The Princeton Review again ranked Hillsdale among the “Best 382 Colleges” in the nation and one of the best colleges in the Midwest. Released on July 31, the annual survey ranks only 15 percent of the nation’s four-year colleges and placed Hillsdale highly in categories related to the quality of its academics and student life.
