Hillsdale College Professor Wins 2022 Bradley Prize

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College announces that Wilfred McClay, the Victor Davis Hanson Chair in Classical History and Western Civilization, has received the 2022 Bradley Prize. This honor recognizes individuals whose outstanding achievements reflect the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation’s mission of restoring, strengthening, and protecting the principles and institutions of American exceptionalism.

Hillsdale College Senior Receives Barry Foundation Scholarship

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College Senior Nick West became the first Hillsdale student to win the Barry Foundation Scholarship and enroll at the University of Oxford with the scholarship, which grants full funding for its recipients to earn graduate degrees at Oxford. After double majoring in mathematics and physics at Hillsdale College, West said he plans to pursue two master’s degrees, one in applied mathematics.

Hillsdale College Shotgun Team Competes in Division II at ACUI National Championship

The Charger shotgun team competed in Division II in the annual Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Collegiate Clay Target Championships in San Antonio

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Charger shotgun team competed in Division II in the annual Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Collegiate Clay Target Championships in San Antonio from March 18-27. The event was the largest collegiate shotgun competition to date, featuring more than 1,000 athletes from 95 schools. Hillsdale’s 11-person team took sixth place out of 21 Division II teams, beating the University of Alabama and Clemson.

Ph.D. Candidates Deliver Dissertations

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Two doctoral students from The Van Andel Graduate School of Statesmanship at Hillsdale College presented their dissertation research in public presentations this month. Sarah Akey and Casey Wheatland had successfully defended their dissertations in front of faculty panels, and both were awarded dissertation honors.
