Halter Center Hosts Halloween Clay Shoot and Exhibition

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College’s John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center hosted the Halter Pumpkin Smash on Oct. 31. The two-hour event featured an opportunity for shooters of all ages to participate in clay shooting and watch a Halloween-themed shooting exhibition by members of the US national team and the Hillsdale College Shotgun team. For the exhibition, these professional and collegiate shooters took aim at nothing other than catapulted pumpkins.

Hillsdale College Music Department Welcomes Jazz Trio

HILLSDALE, Mich. — On November 17, the Hillsdale College music department showcased jazz trio TrioGram at Conrad Recital Hall. The ensemble performed tracks from their eponymous album, with a particular emphasis on the evolution of “next generation” modern jazz.

Hillsdale College Presents Opera Workshop Performances

Hillsdale College Graduate School of Classical Education to Offer Hybrid Program

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Diana Davis Spencer Graduate School of Classical Education at Hillsdale College will begin offering a hybrid program starting in the summer of 2024. The new program will make it possible for students to earn their master’s degrees while continuing their work in the classroom.

John A. Halter Shooting Sports Education Center Increases Membership Rates

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Effective November 1, the Hillsdale College John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Center adjusted membership pricing. Annual standard and select memberships will see modest adjustments, with standard membership pricing set at $175 and select membership pricing at $275. Annual premium memberships will be available at a rate of $600.

Hillsdale College Features the Detroit Historical Society’s Documenting Detroit

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College continues its 2023-2024 Professional Artist Series with an exhibit of documentary photography from the students of prolific Detroit photographer Bill Rauhauser. Students and community members can visit the exhibit, titled “Documenting Detroit” in the Daughtrey Art Gallery from Oct. 27, through Nov. 22.
