Hillsdale College Hosts Third Annual Trunk-or-Treat

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted its third annual Trunk-or-Treat on Sunday, Oct. 30. Hillsdale College athletic teams, clubs, dorms, fraternities, and sororities set up booths, provided games for local trick-or-treaters, and decorated cars. The event was open to the greater Hillsdale community, with about 450 children attending throughout the afternoon.

The Princeton Review Again Names Hillsdale College One of Best in Nation

HILLSDALE, Mich. — In its annual rankings, The Princeton Review has again named Hillsdale College among one of the best in the country. This year, The Princeton Review collected data from 160,000 college students from 388 colleges across America. Hillsdale ranked in the top five of four subcategories, top 10 of four subcategories, and top 20 of five subcategories related to academics and student life.

Hillsdale College Honors Master’s Graduate Nathan Neveau with Judith Finn Memorial Award

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College announces its newest Judith Finn Memorial Award winner, Nathan Neveau. Neveau will receive his master’s degree this year in politics from the College’s Van Andel Graduate School of Statesmanship. Neveau’s academic interests include the relationship between Christianity, politics, and education.

Student Dance Company Tower Dancers Hosts Annual Spring Concert

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Tower Dancers, the resident student dance company at Hillsdale College, hosted its annual concert in Markel Auditorium April 22-24. This free performance featured 10 dances: two choreographed by guest artists, three by faculty, and five by students. Featured dance genres included modern, ballet, contemporary ballet, and jazz ensembles.

Hillsdale College Senior Receives Barry Foundation Scholarship

Hillsdale College Senior Nick West became the first Hillsdale student to win the Barry Foundation Scholarship and enroll at the University of Oxford with the scholarship, which grants full funding for its recipients to earn graduate degrees at Oxford. After majoring in mathematics at Hillsdale College, West said he plans to pursue two master’s degrees, one in applied mathematics.

Hillsdale College Choirs Perform Together in Christ Chapel

Hillsdale GOAL Program Hosts Healthcare Letter Writing Event

HILLSDALE, MICH. — The Hospital Volunteering Great Opportunities for Assistance and Leadership (GOAL) Program hosted a Healthcare Letter Writing Event the week of March 21 during lunch hours in the Grewcock Student Union. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., students wrote letters thanking healthcare workers for their service to the community. Letters will be delivered to staff at Hillsdale Hospital.

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Student Activities Board, the 1844 Society, and the Alumni Office invited students to the Grewcock Student Union on Thursday, Nov. 18, for the College’s annual Day of Thanks card-writing event. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., students dropped by to write and address cards to friends, family, donors, professors, and others who have donated their gifts and time to the College.
