HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College’s Van Andel Graduate School of Statesmanship hosted its 10th anniversary celebration on March 25. The event featured keynote remarks from the school’s dean and an alumnus, an alumni panel on graduate career prospects, and a faculty panel on today’s politics. Current students, alumni, faculty, and staff attended.

Hillsdale College Online Course, “Constitution 101,” to Add Spanish Subtitles

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College’s most popular online course, “Constitution 101: The Meaning and History of the Constitution,” is now adding Spanish subtitles. “The purpose of our online courses program is to teach everyone who wishes to learn, so we’re excited that these subtitles can help reach a new audience of people eager to learn about American history and the U.S. Constitution,” said Kyle Murnen, director of online learning.

Hillsdale College Hosts Palm Sunday “Passion Song: A Meditation on the Passion of Christ

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Chapel Choir and the Office of the Chaplain presented a service of sacred music on Palm Sunday titled “Passion Song: A Meditation on the Passion of Christ” on April 2 in Christ Chapel. The performance featured guest artists Adrian Leskiw, Noah Rogers, and the Three Notch’d Road Baroque Ensemble.

Team USA Shooting Wins Big at World Cup

HILLSDALE, Mich. — USA Shooting earned six medals for shotgun at the International Shooting Sports Federation World Cup in Doha, Qatar held from March 4-13. At the event, Kim Rhode won her second World Cup gold medal in the Women’s Skeet division.

Hillsdale College Percussion Ensemble Performs

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Hillsdale College Percussion Ensemble performed on March 25 in McNamara Rehearsal Hall. Their performance, titled a “Vintage Percussion Ensemble,” featured some of the earliest and most influential percussion ensemble works, such as “Lonisation” by Edward Varese. Students, faculty, staff, and members of the Hillsdale community attended the performance.

HILLSDALE, Mich. — Hillsdale College announces its newest online course, “The Great Principles of Chemistry.” Dean of Natural Sciences and Associate Professor of Chemistry Matthew Young teaches the series, which was released on March 28. More than 16,000 people preregistered for the free course.
